Daniel Sturridge has been called into the senior England squad for the first time, one of 25 players named for friendly matches against Spain and Sweden.
The 22-year-old striker, who has scored five times for Chelsea this season, had previously been capped 15 times by England Under 21s for whom he scored four goals.
Sturridge is joined in the England party by regulars John Terry, Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole. Everton's Jack Rodwell is the other player in the squad for the first time.
England play Spain on Saturday and Sweden on Tuesday, both games at Wembley.
